Marco's basketball career began in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio where he played basketball at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School under legendary Coach Mike Haley Jr.  Marco played 3 years on the varsity team, which was ranked #6 in the nation during his sophomore year.

     After High School Marco received a Division I basketball scholarship to play at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee under coach Steve Atrim.  After a year he returned to Dayton Ohio to work and be with his family.  Marco was then offered a scholarship to play basketball at Eastern Arizona Junior College where he played for 2 years for Coach Charles laveter.  In Marco's 2 years at Eastern Arizona he scored an impressive 1,100 total points making him the leading scorer both years that he played.  During his final year at Eastern Arizona Junior College, his team was ranked #2 in the nation.  Marco spent his final year of eligibility playing under legendary coach Tony Sellitto at Hawaii Pacific University which was ranked # 2 in the country at the time.  Marco received his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy working as a full-time case manager while off the courts.  Marco still continues a mentoring relationship with Tony Sellitto.
